Ghost paper lantern

  • white construction paper
  • scissors
  • tape or glue
  • black marker

What to do:

  1. Fold the white sheet of paper in half vertically
  2. Cut slits about an inch apart.
  3. Draw the face of a ghost with the black marker.
  4. Tape it together or glue.
  5. Cut a strip of paper from the white construction paper about an inch wide.
  6. Tape or glue that inside at the top as the handle.

Frankenstein paper lantern

  • green and black construction paper
  • scissors
  • tape or glue
  • black marker

What to do:

  1. Fold the green sheet of paper in half vertically
  2. Cut slits about an inch apart.
  3. Draw the face of Frankenstein with the black marker.  Add hair on top and stitch lines on the face.
  4. Tape it together or glue.
  5. Cut a strip of paper from the black construction paper about an inch wide.
  6. Tape or glue the black strip inside at the top as the handle.

Paper plate pumpkins

This is really easy and fun for young kids.  All you do is color in some paper plates to look like pumpkins.  You can get really creative and use glitter.  I used glow in the dark paint for one.  Draw triangles as eyes and a nose.

Orange Halloween wreath

  • You will need:
  • paper plates
  • construction paper (black, green, orange, purple)
  • scissors
  • glue
  • pencil

What to do:

  1. Fold the paper plate in half and cut a circle in the center.
  2. Draw out Autumn leaves on the colored construction paper.
  3. Cut out the leaves.
  4. Glue them onto the plate all around.
  5. Color in with markers on any part of the plate that is till covering in white.
  6. If you do not have colored paper you can color it in with markers or paint.
