We had a Halloween party for the kids this year, ages ranging from 2-8. We decked the house out in Halloween decor; spiderwebs, spiders, pumpkins, orange, green, and purple lights, colorful balloons, jack-o-lanterns, spooky props, and much more. They played a variety of Halloween and Fall games, some purchased from Target and others were just good old fashioned seasonal favorites. I had a mini cauldron full of treats and spooky food but good enough to eat. Laughter and surprises filled the air, as I passed out prizes and each took their share. I had bought a couple of goodies from the Dollar Store for each, and as they played they won prizes for their great feat. The night ended pleasantly with a Halloween movie as they all slowly drifted off to sleep.
Believe it or not by simply adding colored lighting inside your house you can turn it from normal to fun and festive. We actually leave all year long, a green and orange light that we turn on at night. You can buy the outdoor lights at Home Depot for like $5 each. You can’t really see the color too good in this picture but believe me it looks really cool at night. Try it for yourself and see.
